Dr Martin Myers, MBE, PhD, MRCPath is one of the trustees of the NFHW and has been associated with its work for over 10 years.
Dr Martin is a Consultant Clinical Biochemist and Lead Scientist at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals is the Senior Clinical Advisor for Pathology in the NHS Improvement Getting it Right First Time (GIRFT) Programme. He has been associated with the Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust for well over 20 years during which time, Martin has taken a lead role in a continuous program of pathology re-design; improving the clinical and operational effectiveness of pathology delivery and improving productivity.
Martin and his colleagues from the Blood Drop team have been the backbone of the NFHW’s health MOT project.
