The mental health burden is increasing over the years in the UK and despite of efforts be the relevant NHS organisations, the waiting list is long. There are increased risk of worsening of many cases, Covid19 pandemic has been a further blow , both from point of view of isolation of people and people reluctant to seek help.

Covid19 pandemic has imposed bereavement, isolation, loss of income and fear, all of which are triggering mental health conditions or exacerbating existing ones. Many people may be facing increased levels of alcohol and drug use, insomnia, and anxiety.

It is so important to be be aware of the issues and learn about what can be done apart from taking the medicines…..non-medical therapy can be quite helpful preventing escalation of many mental health conditions.

We hope that with this event we will help to educate as well learn from the public. We designed it as a strengths-based process through which people or their relatives suffering from mental health conditions form a healing connection with our organisation and we can help support their recovery and wellness within the context of family, culture, and community.

We have a variety of very experienced and qualified professionals lined up as speaker and hope it will be a greatly engaging and enabling exercise that will have a long lasting relationship and impact.

Prof Romesh Gupta, Dr Rajeev Gupta as well as the team members of NFHW have worked hard to organise this unique seminar. Its good to see the engagement and impact.
