After holding hugely successful Health Mela last year in Burney, this year once again NFHW, in partnership with the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan)’s School of Medicine and Dentistry, is proud to organise another Health Mela on Saturday 31 May 2025 at Victoria Mill Campus, Trafalgar Street, Burnley, Lancashire BB11 1RA between 11 am and 3 pm.

President of the Royal College of General Practitioners London Dr Richard Vautrey will be the Chief Guest. Also attending as our guests of honour on the day would be Mr Oliver Ryan MP, Mayor Cllr. Paul Reynolds and Mayoress Cllr. Gail Barton.

The event will have several health-related displays that will empower and encourage attendees to know about personal health and take care of their own health. There will be free health checks and health MOTs will include free blood tests for blood glucose and cholesterol, measurement of essential body vitals with personalised health assessment and advice from healthcare professionals.

In addition children and their parents will have an opportunity to learn about the human body on interactive models. The Teddy Bear clinic gives children the opportunity to learn basics of first aid treatments and learn about personal health. Other attractions would include taster session of Reiki, smoothy bike, Bollywood dance, workshops and many other attractions. In short, it is a fun day for individuals as well as families.

Entrance to the event is free and so is campus parking.

Event is supposed by several charities and NHS organisations.
