On Friday 20th June 2025, NFHW participated in the 3rd International Yoga & Mind-Body Practice Conference UK , organised by Consciousness U.K. CIC at Gujarat Hindu Society Temple Preston.
At the conference, Mr. Khushal Kumar, with support from Ms. Sarifa Kabir, presented a paper titled ‘Empowering Communities to Improve Their Health and Wellbeing’. The presentation highlighted NFHW’s ongoing work to strengthen community health through integrated approaches, combining complementary therapies with traditional medicine. NFHW’s contributions were warmly appreciated, particularly its efforts to bridge complementary therapies with mainstream healthcare, thereby empowering communities to take proactive steps toward better health and wellbeing.

The conference welcomed over 100 participants involved in the practice and promotion of yoga, holistic health, and related disciplines. Attendees engaged in various interactive workshops in which NFHW representatives also participated.
A key discussion point at the conference was the importance of increasing access to holistic therapies. There was strong support for the idea that patients could benefit significantly if referred to holistic sessions by healthcare professionals as part of a more integrated approach to wellbeing.
Overall, it was a very informative and enjoyable day.
