Preparations are in full swing for the forthcoming Leyland Health Mela which will be held on Saturday 28th September 2024 at St Mary’s Community Centre, Broadfield Walk, Broadfield Drive, Leyland PR25 1PD from 11 AM till 3 PM.
The event will be opened by the Mayor of South Ribble Councillor Peter Mullineaux.
Health Melas are events that aim to empower communities to improve their health and wellbeing. As is usual, the event will feature several health exhibits, free health checks and advice, blood sugar and blood cholesterol testing, blood pressure and other vitals measurements. There will also be teddy bear clinic where children can bring their toy animals to be examined and treated by healthcare professionals and more fun items.
The highlight of the event will be Chorley Cakes Folk community band who will play background music.
The event is free to attend with free on-site parking and we invite everyone to attend.
This event is supported by several NHS, voluntary, charitable, educational and other organisations.
