Most important of all – take a health MOT. This comprehensive check, offered free to all visitors, includes blood pressure, blood glucose, cholesterol and BMI and all participants are offered free expert advice on health and life-style.

The Mela, in collaboration with Academy@Worden, and supported by the Rotary Club of Leyland, is now a major annual event in the Leyland calendar. Attending a Health Mela really can be a life changing experience. Bring the family – You’ll all feel the benefit!

The Breakfast Meeting

As an integral part of every Health Mela, before the event is formally opened to the public, the organisers host a Breakfast Meeting for invited guests which focuses on a contemporary issue. This year’s theme for Leyland is ‘The Challenge of Childhood Obesity’.
