Professor Romesh Gupta, Chairman of the National Forum for Health and wellbeing, has been appointed as Honorary Professor within the School of Medicine, University of Central Lancashire with effect from 1 October 2019.
Professor Gupta will be proactively engaging with the school in supporting the delivery of teaching and research agenda.
Speaking of his delight at his new appointment, Professor Gupta said
“NFHW and Uclan together are very soon going to launch a series of health and wellbeing road shows to engage community to improve their health.
The inaugural event will be held early next year focussing on Diet, Nutrition and Health. The event will be particularly of interest to those who are underweight/ overweight, suffering from food allergies and are keen to learn more about the healthy diets as a way to improve their health and wellness. In addition I believe that staff and students of health facilities will find it useful.
This event will be delivered by experts including the clinicians, chefs and consultant in complimentary therapies.”
