Sir Mark Hendrick MP praised the organisers of the recently held 2019 Preston Health Mela. Speaking about the event, he said
“I was once again honoured to have been invited to take part in the 18th Annual Health Mela at the University of Central Lancashire. I am pleased that so many local health, community and voluntary organisations came together, in the true spirit of collaboration and partnership working, which was the theme for this year’s Mela.
This event gets bigger and better every year and is such an important and inclusive fixture in the City’s calendar and one in which Preston’s citizens can focus on their own health and wellbeing in a positive way. Congratulations are due to the event organisers at the National Forum for Health and Wellbeing (NFHW), the host organisation UCLAN, the guest speakers and the scores of staff and volunteers that helped to ensure that the event was a resounding success. I look forward to next year’s event which I have no doubt, will be even more successful.’
