The national forum for health and wellbeing is proud to announce its first free public engagement health seminar of 2025 entitled Diabetes: Past, Present & Future. The seminar is organised in partnership with the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan).

The seminar will be chaired by Professor Satyen Rajbhandari, consultant physician and endocrinologist, Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. There will be talks and sharing of experiences from other healthcare professionals as well as patients themselves.

The seminar will be an Interactive Programme on:

  • Experience of people with long term diabetes
  • Changes in diabetes treatment over the years
  • Current problems of people with diabetes
  • NHS problem in meeting increasing demands
  • Research on various fields of diabetes
  • Glance into the future
  • Your questions on diabetes

Admission to the event is free and prior intimation is not required. There also will be free car parking on the University campus from 6 pm – 9 pm on the day.
